===NFS===
If you shut down an NFS server before un-mounting its clients the clients may hang !
If you have done this
~1) Start up / recreate NFS server (with same IP address)
~1) Remount client at exactly same mount point

# cat /proc/mounts
%%
~1) Cleanly umount client mount point
~1) Now you can safely shutdown NFS server
